Growing flow of European tourists in Bolivia.
Despite the economic crisis that has dragged Europe from 2010 to date, the flow of tourists from the mainland to Bolivia increased 1.8%. However, average daily expenditure of each of these visitors stay in the country fell from $ U.S. 80 to $ U.S. 54.
European tourists who arrive in Bolivia usually come from England (UK), Germany, Switzerland, France and Nordic countries. However, there was a reduction of visitors from Spain in 2012 compared to the previous management.
The Spanish visit to Bolivia in 2011 was 22 thousand people and the growth rate until 2010 was 2% and 3%, but this year showed a reduction of 0.8%, meaning that 22 thousand down to 19,500 tourists.
Of total tourists coming to Bolivia, the largest percentage comes from Latin American countries by 67%, mainly from Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and to a lesser extent Colombia, Mexico and Ecuador. In that 67% of tourists arriving in the country is not taken into account the Peruvians, because their arrival to Bolivia for commercial purposes by 83%.
